The Ultimate Summer Delicacy!

Nothing quite says summer like lobster rolls! This lobster roll recipe is made with fresh lobster chunks in a mixture of mayo & dijon, served in toasted, buttered buns and topped with a citrusy & herby cilantro sauce to add a zesty twist to this classic dish! Fresh, simple ingredients make this a crave-worthy recipe perfect for celebrating summer with family and friends!

Lobster Roll ingredients
  • 1 pound of fresh lobster meat (pre-cooked and cut into large chunks)
  • 3 stems of celery, finely chopped
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of olive-oil based mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon of dijon mustard
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 6 hot dog buns
  • Garlic ghee butter
  • 1 bunch of Boston lettuce leaves
  • Fresh dill, to garnish
  • Lime or lemon juice, to garnish
  • Paprika, to sprinkle on top
Cilantro sauce Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup of plain greek yogurt
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 cup of cilantro
  • 1/2 cup of fresh dill
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2-1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper, to taste
  • Salt & pepper to taste
Steps
  1. Cilantro Sauce: Blend all cilantro sauce ingredients in a food processor until smooth, set aside in the fridge
  2. Lobster Rolls: Add chopped celery and green onions to a bowl with lobster chunks. Mix in mayo, dijon and salt and pepper to taste
  3. Buttered Buns: Lightly butter the hot dog buns with garlic ghee butter, toast until golden
  4. Assembly: Line the buns with lettuce leaves, scoop a generous amount of lobster meat in each bun, spoon cilantro sauce over the lobster, decorate with fresh dill, a drizzle of lime or lemon juice and a pinch of paprika. Enjoy!
