1. Lymphatic System Health
The lymphatic system is a network of tissues and organs that help detox the body. Its primary function is to transport lymph, a fluid containing infection-fighting white blood cells, throughout the body. The lymphatic system is often overlooked, but people are slowly learning about how important it is to take care of it! It provides a variety of detoxification functions and plays a key role in the immune system.
When lymph isn’t flowing well, you might end up with an accumulation of waste and toxins. A few symptoms of this are fatigue, swollen glands, puffiness in the eyes or face, bloating or water retention, headaches, constipation, and weight gain.
Because people are becoming more aware of the benefits of taking care of this system, “lymphatic drainage” activities are set to become increasingly popular in 2020.

Virtual Wellness lets people practice at any time, whether it be in their homes, at the park, or on the commute back from the office. People want their workouts, or breathing exercises, or Health Coaches to be flexible with their everyday routines.

3. Spiritual Wellness & Meditation
More people are becoming aware of their spiritual and mental health, and meditation is set to become increasingly trendy. There are more yoga studios and apps that offer meditation sessions now. With today’s fast-pace living, people want to reduce anxiety, be better focused, improve their memory and heighten their awareness. It’s time to better connect with yourself and view health as more than just a good diet!
Here’s our go-to way to get into meditation:
- Find a comfortable spot and close your eyes
- Inhale through your nose for 8 counts, hold your breath for 4 counts and, breathe out through your mouth for 7 counts. Repeat this 5 times (or as many times as desired)
- Observe your breath and your thoughts and do your best not to judge – just remain and observe! This will train your mind to focus.
With today’s fast-pace living, people want to reduce anxiety, focus better, improve their memory and heighten their awareness.

4. Plant-Based Products (Not made from Soy please!)
Plant-based diets are becoming steadily more popular. We’re not saying to switch to veganism (as we do not believe that there is such a thing as a “one diet fits all”. On the other hand, we certainly do recommend to incorporate more plant-based products into your everyday eating! Global Glow’s main belief is that it’s all about finding the right balance lifestyle for you. Be aware of plant-based products that contain refined soy, sugars, oils, and other artificial fillers. 5. The Benefits of Being Present in Nature
As nature is becoming an increasingly valuable resource, its healing power cannot be overestimated. We are becoming more aware and attached to nature’s fragility and the changes humans are imposing on it.
Being present in nature is such an important basic human thing to do. It has the power to sooth your brain and your parasympathetic nervous system. Nature is amazing for your well-being!
A few of our favourite activities include walking, skiing, hiking, swimming, or simply hanging out with friends or family in nature. Whether it be in a park for a picnic, spending time by a bond fire in the woods, swimming in the ocean, or witnessing a sunset or a sunrise, spend time out there!
